District Arts Festival

Hey friends! I just wanted to post a quick recap of District Arts Festival and how my display came to be. I know it's rather late but I thought it would be nice for you to see what your displays and work might look like by senior year.

As you scroll down the post, you be able to see the video of the entire display. Can you guess the theme?

All seniors who make a display have to include an artist statement. Mine reads, "As I wrote on all of my college applications, I try to take advantage of all the opportunities at Cumberland Valley I was reaching senior year and I decided to take Digital Modeling. I knew that I would be pursuing Computer Science, at University of Southern California, but the one thing I didn't like about computer science was the fact that I wasn't able to showcase my creativity. That's why I took Digital Modeling to combine both art and computer science. As I worked through the year, I decided to concentrate on photorealism. The render series, 'The Modern Supper' was the first complete scene I had created. 'Breakfast at Hillary's," was my most recent project. With both project, I focused on lighting and realistic texturing. I want to show people how much technology has evolved and how I can use my computer to make something that looks like it is a photograph. My display is a homage to Toy Story - the first ever feature-length computer-animated film. As technology evolves, we will be able to not only imagine, but design, a world that we didn't realize was possible."
